Join MBEX on St. Patrick's Day for the hottest game on ice --- curling!
Kick off the afternoon with a brief Curling 101 intro before taking the ice for a 3-end mini bonspiel (tournament) with seasoned instructors available to guide and help. All curling equipment is provided, and attendees are recommended to bring their hats, gloves, jackets, and a clear pair of carry-in shoes. We'll celebrate our athletic endeavors with a Shamrock Pizza Party, cash bar and industry networking post-curling.
Don't forget to wear your green; it's St. Patrick's Day after all!

All construction professionals, regardless of whether they are working in the field or in the office, must know how to read blueprints.

This 4-part online program is for entry-level architectural or engineering designers, apprentices, entry-level tradespersons, project coordinators, assistant project managers, new project managers, estimators, specialt sales representatives, or anyone in career transition looking for a refresher.
Designed to quickly famliarize students with the basics of reading and understanding construction documents. From navigating title block information to combing hrough specification documents, participants will learn how to navigate a project and understand the material and construction requirements.

Meet the Instructor: With over 20 years in the industry, Troy DeGroot has cultivated a deep understanding of the requirements of customers, the needs of end users, common goals of management, and the capacities of the technology. He had led many companies through successful software implementations and training. Having served as the BIM Manager for a large multi-discipline engineering firm, he provides a broad undertanding of the industry and the evolution of technology.

ABOUT THE SPRING SOCIAL
Join us for an evening out with other local construction business owners, executives, and industry professionals on Thursday, April 13, and gain several chances to win exciting door prizes or indulgent bottles of wine or spirits.
We will also get the latest on our economy from special guest speaker Ron Wirtz, the Director of Regional Outreach at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Ron tracks current business conditions, with a focus on employment and wages, construction, real estate, consumer spending, and tourism. At our event, Ron will share insights on the construction sector and how your business will be impacted in 2023.
New at this year's Spring Social, we are hosting a Wine & Spirits Pull! Attendees can purchase a mysteriously-wrapped package that will be either a bottle of wine or spirits that is potentially of much greater value than the purchase price. All fund from the Pull will support the MBEX Scholarship Fund.
We will also have our traditional 50/50 cash raffle where the winner takes home half of the winnings and the other half goes directly into the MBEX Scholarship Fund. Remember, we give out ~$20,000 to students annually!
