From the Deskpad to setting up filters, to project information to bidders lists, this is a one-hour session is a great introduction to our Online Plan Room. There will be time at the end of the presentation for question and answer. Registrants must be signed up by 12:30pm the day before (Wednesday, May 15) to receive Zoom link and other information.

 

ABOUT THE MBEX ONLINE PLAN ROOM
MBEX's modern and innovative online plan room is designed to bring its members the latest in Minnesota's commercial construction project news and bidding opportunities as well as projects from Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota. MBEX's team of reporters work hard behind-the-scenes to post complete project details along with viewable files (dependent on a members' level of access). They coordinate project details with the architects, engineers, project owners, and construction managers to create a smooth viewing process for members. Once posted, bidders can easily access the project scope, view plans, specs and addenda, download files, order prints and download needed documents. Bidders can also manage email notifications for timely notices of newly posted projects, new filter results, and addenda notifications on tracked projects.

Join Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) Compliance's next free Construction seminar in-person or online to learn what the general contractor's roles and responsibilities are when there's a crane on site and what is required for lift plans, inspections rectods, operator's qualifications, training, renting, and more. Plus learn what ASME 30.5 covers and requires.

This seminar's presenter is Scott Richhert, senior technical specialist of construction, energy, and marine with The Travelers Companies. Richhert has 40 years of insurance and construction industry risk management experience. He passed the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) Mobile Crane Operator written core and speciality examinations, as well as the NCCCO Tower Crane Operator examination. He is also a Certified Mobile Crane Lift Director through NCCCO.

05.31.2024 NOW ACCEPTING: Scholarship Applications for 2024-2025

The Minnesota Builders Exchange wants to support the future of the construction industry, its future workforce, and the students seeking a career within it.

With our partner, The Builders Group (TBG) Education Foundation, we are awarding multiple scholarships to qualifying students pursuing a degree in a construction-related field at an accredited post-secondary institution in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Top individual awards have the potential to be up to $5,000.

Those studying a specific trade are highly encouraged to apply, but all types of construction-related fields of study are welcome to apply.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be...
• Entering the 2024 Fall semester as a freshman, sophomore, or junior. (If attending longer than the traditional 4-years of undergrad, seniors may be eligible.)
• Enrolled in a construction-related field of study at an accredited trade school, two-year community or technical college, or four-year university.
• Maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Possessing a strong passion for the construction industry.

Previous scholarship recipients can reapply if they are not entering the final semester and/or year of their academic studies.
